Vita Silvira - Commissioner
Vita might not have fulfilled her dream to become a professional dancer, but she’s currently very happy dancing with numbers. What she’s doing now always has something to do with numbers: teaching accounting in a university, becoming an audit committee for two companies, as well as an independent commissioner at DayaLima - analyzing the financial progress.
In the last few year she has seen a big shifting when the owners trust some young professionals to run the company. As a result, the revenue is gradually increasing. But she is certain that it would not be happening without any guidance from the owners, who also plays the role as non-independent commissioners. Vita, who was once an assessor, observes that these two roles (directors and commissioners) are complementing each other, creating a great sinergy.
When first assigned to be a commissioner in DayaLima years ago, Vita might opt to become a silent one. Nevertheless, feeling very young, passionate, and full of energy, she would love to contribute more to the development of the company. Working for other organizations, she gains more financial knowledge from them and wants to share it for the company’s benefit.
“This organization is like an ‘experiment’. If we apply a new strategy, we’re very excited to see the result. After that, we think, what’s next? Do we have to stop, change the strategy, or what? It’s like a never-ending challenge. Since I’m not part of the management team, I have to really listen to them. Every organization has its own ups and downs, but I believe this company is already in the right track.”
